Illustration--"On Magnolia Lawn"

This was an illustration I completed for our inaugural "First Day" issue of the Peabody Press. I used a digital art software called Procreate to complete this illustration, which features a photo from the University School of Nashville Archives of USN's facade from across the street. I wanted to showcase the contrast between the students depicted in the photo and high school students in the 2020s. This illustration won first place in the Newspaper or Newsmagazine Illustration category at the Tennessee High School Press Awards. I uploaded this photo twice to ensure that the judges could see the illustration as clearly as possible.
